Tom Holland attends the "Uncharted" photocall at cinema Publicis Champs-Elysees on February 11, 2022 in Paris, France.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man audition tape has been shared, just as his latest Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released on digital.

The 25-year-old British actor has famously played Spider-Man since 2016, and has since played the character in six different movies. The star said about the audition process, “It still blows my mind how crazy that whole thing was.”

Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal told The Independent, “I don’t think it was ever a question about who was going to be it — from the first second, he was funny, self-deprecating, innocent and he had a terrible haircut from some other movie he was doing. Tom inhabited the character in a way that I don’t think any of us have ever seen before. The passion and the level of depth with which he brings to this character and the commitment that he has to it has only increased over the years that we’ve been making these movies and his enthusiasm and sense of protecting Peter and exploring different parts of Peter has been unbelievable.”

Fellow castmates Zendaya and Jacob Batalon joined Holland in watching their audition tapes for Spider-Man as well. The three pals broke out in hysterics at Holland and Batalon’s audition tapes, while Zendaya’s were completely serious “good auditions.”
