Pamela Anderson will be taking on Broadway next month starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Per multiple outlets — including Deadline and Variety — Anderson will star in the iconic musical for an eight-week limited engagement beginning April 12 and running through June 5 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Anderson said in a statement on her Broadway debut, “I have always been a huge fan of Bob Fosse’s and Gwen Verdon’s work. Ann Reinking, too. Playing Roxie Hart is a dream fulfilled. Performing Fosse, you don’t have time to get in your head. You can’t dance, sing and think at the same time. There is a freedom, a unique joy in knowing it’s all about the work. Playing Roxie Hart is a sweet escape for me.”

This Anderson news comes on the heels of Netflix announcing they’ll be producing a documentary about the iconic sex symbol/actress with Anderson’s full cooperation. The film is described as, “An intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps on her journey.”
