Starbucks Employee Tests Positive for Hepatitis A in Gloucester Township
A Starbucks employee in Gloucester Township has tested positive for hepatitis A, according to Fox29.
The Camden County Health Department was notified on Wednesday (Nov. 17) that the person worked through the infection period and tested positive.
Customers who visited the Starbucks at 1490 Blackwood Clementon Road in Gloucester Township on Nov. 4,5,6,11,12 or 13 should get the hepatitis A vaccine.
According to NJ.com, officials say thousands of people may have been impacted. The Food Surveillance Unit visited the Gloucester Township location and found no evidence of food safety violations.
The Starbucks location was closed and not reopened until all employees were vaccinated.
A hepatitis A vaccine clinic is being held at the Camden County Sustainable Facility at 508 Lakeland Road and running from 3p.m. – 7p.m. Friday and 9a.m. – 11:30a.m. on Saturday. Vaccine appointments will be made on a first come first serve basis.
