Paul McCartney has been very busy as of late promoting a number of new releases. One of those new releases is Linda McCartney's Family Kitchen, a cookbook organized by Sir Paul and his daughters, Mary and Stella McCartney, made up of over 90 plant-based recipes from the late Linda.

During a conversation with Romesh Ranganathan, Macca revealed his go-to bagel sandwich recipe that sounds like it would make for a delicious, quick lunch.

"I take a bagel and cut in three," begins McCartney. "Often you have two bagels, so you cut them into six and you've got a top and a bottom, a top and a bottom and two middles. So you can get three sandwiches out of that."

He continues, "So the bottom layer I put marmite on and then I put a little bit of lettuce because I'm going to put hummus on, and it's going to go through the hole if I don't put lettuce on. Then you might have a slice of cheese, one slice of tomato, a pickle or two. Then you go back to your lettuce barrier 'cause there's another hole on the top, remember? Then I put honey mustard."

While it's not known if Paul's bagel sandwich made it into the cookbook, its listing notes, "Family favorites such as French Toast, Chili non Carne, Sausage Rolls, Shepherd’s Pie, Pulled Jackfruit Burgers and Crunchy Pecan Cookies are just some of the many simple, nourishing and sustainable vegan recipes included in this stylish book."

Linda McCartney's Family Kitchen is available now via a number of retailers here.
