Live Nation to Require Vaccination or Negative Test at All Events
Live Nation announced they will require proof of vaccination or a negative test for all artists and attendees at their venues and upcoming festivals.
According to Rolling Stone Live Nation will begin requiring this on Oct. 4, 2021.
“Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows, and as of October 4 we will be following the model we developed for Lollapalooza and requiring this for artists, fans and employees at Live Nation venues and festivals everywhere possible in the US,” company president and CEO Michael Rapino said in a statement.
Previously announced Live Nation stated that they would allow artists to decide if they wanted fans to have to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test. The new decision comes after the surge in new cases due to the Delta variant.
Additionally, all Live Nation employees must be vaccinated by October 4th in order to gain entry to any venues, events, or offices.
AEG Presents announced a similar mandate which will take effect no later than Oct. 1.
