The Museum of Illusions has its sights set on Philadelphia, announcing that the City of Brotherly Love will be home to its next museum which is slated to open in Fall 2021.

The Museum of Illusions will be permanently located at 401 Market Street in the heart of Old City Philadelphia and just a quick walk from some of the city’s most recognized attractions, including Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell, Old City Beer Garden, and The Betsy Ross House.

The newest location will be the latest installment of the Museum of Illusions global presence, with 30 locations worldwide. In addition to Philadelphia, the Museum of Illusions currently has U.S. locations in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Orlando, and Kansas City.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the Museum of Illusions to Philadelphia, which is an ideal city for such an engaging and new museum concept,” said Rob Cooper, Philadelphia native and founder of LOL Entertainment, the parent company of Museum of Illusions Philadelphia. “Philadelphia’s vibrant and historic scene provides the perfect landscape for the expansion of the museum’s U.S. presence. We are confident that people of all ages will love seeing and experiencing the museum’s unique illusions and exhibits.”

The Museum of Illusions offers visual and educational exhibits designed to tease the senses and bring out playfulness in guests of all ages. With more than 80 exhibits featuring holograms, stereograms, and optical illusions, visitors will learn about vision, perception, and the human brain and experience firsthand the science of how the eyes can trick the mind.

“While our museum certainly is visually engaging and has those photo-worthy moments, it is about so much more,” said Cooper. “We’ve carefully and thoughtfully designed this museum to provide an educational experience that will leave guests feeling inspired long after they leave. We can’t wait to challenge minds and provide a hands-on, immersive experience for all ages.”
