Kelly Osbourne Relapsed After Almost Four Years Of Sobriety
Kelly Osbourne revealed on her Instagram that she relapsed after staying sober for nearly four years.
36-year-old Osbourne told fans Monday on her Instagram Stories that she’s not “proud” of her actions and is already working to get “back on track,” Fox News reports.
The former Fashion Police host confessed, “This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery. Not proud of it. But I am back on track.”
Osbourne continued, “But I’ve learned it truly is just one day at a time. I just want to tell you guys the truth because I never, ever want to lie to you. Thank you so much for your support and your love.”
Osbourne initially got sober in 2017, saying she depended on drugs and alcohol to help deal with her depression.
When she celebrated two years of sobriety in 2019, she wrote on Instagram: “With every day that I am sober I learn more and more about the person I was compared to the person I am today. One of the greatest lessons I am learning is to NEVER have expectations. With every expectation I set myself up for failure because nothing and no one is perfect. I used to live my life constantly filled with disappointment. Now when I can actually put having no expectations into action I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s one of the hardest lesson you can learn but I’m slowly getting there.”
She posted a selfie of herself yesterday with a cropped lilac bob with the caption: She’s back!!!!! Let’s do this!!!#sobrietyrocks
Today she posted another photo of herself with a longer lilac hairdo captioning: New hair!! New outlook!! 💜🤔
It’s been a difficult time for the Osbourne family as Kelly’s mother, Sharon, left The Talk in late March after an investigation into allegations of racist behavior and an on-air dispute with co-host Sheryl Underwood.
