‘Empire Records’ Fans Come Out In Droves to Get ‘Rex Manning’ To Trend on Twitter

Empire Records, the 1995 film featuring the likes of Renee Zellweger, Liv Tyler, Ethan Embry, Robin Tunney and more, still holds a special place in fans’ hearts, which has led them to get the film to trend on Twitter the morning of April 8.

As any fan of the cult classic will know, the film takes place on April 8 when the titular record store hosts an in-store appearance from aging pop star Rex Manning. The day is affectionately dubbed “Rex Manning Day” in the film.
