Dining Out For Life is set to return on Thursday, April 29, to the Greater Philadelphia Area. Founded in 1991 by Action Wellness, Dining Out For Life will be benefiting both the nonprofit organization and local businesses affected by the pandemic.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event like last year will focus primarily on dining in rather than dining out. Action Wellness is encouraging participants to order take-out from participating restaurants or dine out safely following CDC and city regulations.

While Participating restaurants will not be asked to donate, Action Wellness encourages the community to make a donation while dining out to support fundraising efforts. The organization is dedicated to supporting long-time partner restaurants during this difficult time. All donations will go towards the nonprofit organization to help people living with HIV in the greater Philadelphia area.

“The ongoing pandemic has taken a toll not only on the clients that we serve, but our partner restaurants as well.  We want to use this opportunity to raise vital funds for Action Wellness while supporting the restaurants that have supported us for over 30 years.” said Action Wellness Executive Director, Kevin Burns

In 1991, a volunteer stepped up to address the AIDS epidemic in Philadelphia. In turn, local restaurants stepped in to help and Dining Out For Life became a yearly event. Since then, this event has raised millions of dollars for those living with HIV in the Philadelphia community.  Dining Out For Life was founded to address an epidemic and Action Wellness rose to the challenge. And now, this important event will continue to support not only those living with HIV in our community, but our partner restaurants as well.
