Due to changes in income and employment status, COVID-19 concerns, and evictions many people moved in 2020.

According to a survey by Move.org, both Pennsylvania and New Jersey were among the top states that residents left.

New Jersey came in at number 7 and Pennsylvania at number 8.

Some other notable findings from the survey were:

  • Millennials were the age group that moved the most this year.
  • Residents living with a significant moved more than those who lived alone, with single families, or with roommates.
  • 53% of respondents went from renters to homeowners in 2020.
