Pennsylvania and New Jersey Rank in Top 10 States Residents Left in 2020
Due to changes in income and employment status, COVID-19 concerns, and evictions many people moved in 2020.
According to a survey by Move.org, both Pennsylvania and New Jersey were among the top states that residents left.
New Jersey came in at number 7 and Pennsylvania at number 8.
Some other notable findings from the survey were:
- 20% of the survey respondents moved in 2020 and of those who did 33% weren’t planning to move this year.
- Millennials were the age group that moved the most this year.
- Residents living with a significant moved more than those who lived alone, with single families, or with roommates.
- 53% of respondents went from renters to homeowners in 2020.
