Philly Dad Creates App for Viewing Christmas Lights
Almost every day lately when I open Facebook I see the same question in my newsfeed. “Where are the best Christmas light displays?” Well thanks to local Philadelphian, Mike Kane, he created an app that helps answer that question!
Kane created the ChristmasPrism app to help people find local house with great light displays.
He told Philly Mag that all the content is user generated. If you go all out with your Christmas lights all you need to do is upload a picture of your house and your location into the app. On the other hand if you are someone looking for all the prime locations to hit just check out the map in the app and it lays it all out for you. You can also “like” a location as well as add a comment.
If a house has an elk icon it means it has a few likes and if you see a snow globe by a house it means it have over 25 likes.
Kane said most houses are in the Delco area but the app has not geographic constraints it is just a newer app that people don’t know about yet.
