Charlie Brown Specials to Air on TV on PBS
Last month it was announced that the Charlie Brown specials would not air on network television for the first time in 55 years. While we didn’t get to see The “Great Pumpkin” on broadcast television this year, thanks to PBS the Thanksgiving and Christmas specials will return to network TV.
AppleTV+ became the exclusive streaming partner of the holiday specials and offered those without an Apple TV subscription the chance to catch them on certain dates.
While the platform is still offering free viewings, Apple announced they have teamed up with PBS for ad-free broadcasts of “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (on Nov. 22) and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (on Dec. 13).
Both specials will also be available for free during three-day windows on Apple TV+. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will be available starting November 18, and the special will be available for free from November 25 until November 27. A Charlie Brown Christmas will be available on December 4 and will be free from December 11 until December 13.
