AC/DC fans are in high spirits today with the release of the band’s new album Power Up.

The highly-anticipated 17th studio from the Aussie icons comes during not just an unprecedented year in general but after a significant amount of uncertainty regarding the band’s future. Following Brian Johnson’s exit from the band in 2016 due to hearing loss issues, AC/DC was dealt a devastating blow in 2017 with the passing of co-founder/rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young. Bassist Cliff Williams would also retire shortly after the conclusion of the band’s ‘Rock or Bust’ tour.

However, thanks to some technological advances aiding with Johnson’s hearing, Angus Young got the band back together, including drummer Phil Rudd, for Power Up, which serves as a tribute to Malcolm Young.

Fans eager to listen to the album as soon as it dropped have already taken to social media to share their thoughts on Power Up. Here are some notable reactions.
