Pennsylvania SPCA & No Dog Gets Left Behind Free Pet Pantry
The Pennsylvania SPCA and No Dog Gets Left Behind will be hosting a free pet food pantry for veterans and active military personnel in celebration of Veteran’s Day 2020. The event will take place at the corner of 47th and Fairmount Avenue in West Philadelphia (19139) on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (or while supplies last).
The Pennsylvania SPCA’s Community Outreach program is dedicated to keeping pets in their homes by building access to free resource services within neighborhoods. No Dog Gets Left Behind (NDGLB), a long-time partner of the PSPCA, recognizes the role animals play in healing, relieving stress, and bringing love into the lives of military service members. To celebrate Veteran’s Day, NDGLB has sponsored this pet food pantry to ensure that bond is not broken.
In addition to the PSPCA and NDGLB, long-time partners Franklin Towne Charter High School’s chapter of the National Honor’s Society will be on site throughout the morning. Franklin Towne’s NHS members are active in the Philadelphia community volunteering to make their community a better place.
