Brian Johnson Hopes New AC/DC Album Will Inspire Kids to Pick Up Guitars, Put Down TikTok
Brian Johnson has some pretty lofty goals for AC/DC’s new album, Power Up.
In a new interview with NME, “Instead of looking at dancers on TikTok, I’m hoping this album will make young kids go out and buy a guitar, learn the riffs and discover the rest of our catalog.”
He added, “It would just be great to get more young rock bands out there, writing their own songs and getting up there on stage.”
With kids like Nandi Bushell out there in the world, there will definitely always be some kids out there that will continue to carry the torch for rock. Of course, it never hurts to have a few more.
Power Up, comes out November 13. It contains 12 new tracks and is available for pre-save on major digital platforms here. The album is also available for pre-order in physical formats at ACDC.com where fans can find the album on CD, vinyl and special light-up box set that also comes with a 20-page booklet.
The album’s first single, “Shot In The Dark,” can be heard below.
