Tom Hanks Might Star In A Live-Action Remake Of ‘Pinocchio’
Variety is reporting that Tom Hanks is in early negotiations to star in an upcoming Disney live-action version of Pinocchio. He is apparently discussing playing Geppetto.
The outlet adds that Robert Zemeckis will direct the project. He has previously worked with Hanks on Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Polar Express.
Hanks recently starred as commander in the World War II drama Greyhound, which is now streaming on Apple TV. He is also set to portray Colonel Tom Parker in an upcoming Elvis Presley biopic. This is the film he was shooting in Australia earlier this year when he and Rita Wilson tested positive for coronavirus.
Other live-action remakes Disney has done includes Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King.
