Ken Osmond, Eddie Haskell from ‘Leave It To Beaver,’ Dies at 76
Ken Osmond, best known for playing Eddie Haskell on the 1950’s sitcom Leave It To Beaver, has died. He was 76.
TMZ confirmed Osmond’s passing today (May 18) which happened at his home in Los Angeles. A cause of death was not disclosed.
Leave It To Beaver ran for six seasons from 1957-1963 for a total of 234 episodes. Osmond’s Haskell, the smarmy best friend to Wally Cleaver, appeared in 97 episodes.
Per Variety, Osmond would later leave acting and pursued a career in law enforcement by joining the Los Angeles Police Department in 1970. He would retire from the force in 1988.
