No Moshing/Crowd Surfing and 7 Other Changes Likely to be Made at Concerts During COVID-19
The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) has released a 29-page guide titled The Event Safety Alliance Reopening Guide for Event Professionals During the COVID-19 Pandemic in which they “identified reasonably foreseeable health risks [at events] and suggested options to mitigate them.”
The lengthy guide offers an interesting look at what behaviors/actions the ESA has recommended venues to prohibit if concerts and other large events resume during the coronavirus pandemic. The ESA makes clear, “This document contains no ‘best practices’ that apply everywhere – coronavirus creates different challenges depending on countless factors, including the size of the event, its geographic location, the physical space, and the anticipated attendees, to name just a few.” However, these recommendations do come from numerous event industry professionals.
