Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are taking their unfortunate bout with coronavirus and turning it into a good deed. Rita Wilson shared the news with Gayle King on CBS This Morning, saying they are “waiting to hear back to see if our antibodies will be helpful in developing the vaccine.” They are also seeing if they can donate plasma.

Wilson explains that they have been told they are immune to the virus. She also reveals that she and Hanks were given the controversial drug chloroquine to aid in their recovery. Still, she had extreme side effects, including being completely nauseous, having vertigo, not being able to walk, and having weak muscles. Wilson explained to Gayle, “We have to be very considerate about this drug. We don’t really know if it’s helpful in this case.”
