VIDEO: Billy Joel Addresses Home Break-In at Recent MSG Residency Gig
Billy Joel took a moment during his February 20 Madison Square Garden residency show to address the recent break-in at his Long Island, N.Y. home.
In the video, Joel says to the crowd, “Last time I was here [playing MSG] they hit my house. I guess everyone knows I’m not home.” Joel continued, “I got dogs, lights, guns, everything at the house now. I’m hoping they try it again. Come on, come on! Bring it on! Anyway, everybody is fine.”
Joel’s last MSG show took place on January 25. During that time, the break-in took place and resulted in 12 of Joel’s motorcycles being damaged. A home office was also vandalized. No further developments regarding the suspects of the break-in have been reported by authorities or other media outlets.
