Drive An Expensive Car? New Study Says You’re Likely a Jerk
A new study has found the more expensive someone’s care is the more likely they exhibit behavior that they “own the road,” AKA: They’re a total jerk.
The new study from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas published by Science Direct found that those who drive expensive cars are “less likely to yield to pedestrians at a midblock crosswalk,” “felt a sense of superiority over other road users” and are more likely to lack empathy for those walking on nearby sidewalks.
This UNLV study was published just a month after a similar study from the University of Helsinki, which found similar results from Finnish drivers.
In other words, the jerk store called and said to watch out for fancy cars on the road, no matter where you live.
