Sharon Osbourne Comments on Ozzy Osbourne’s Latest Tour Cancellation
Ozzy Osbourne was forced to cancel the latest North American leg of his “No More Tours 2” tour due to heading to Switzerland to receive treatment for Parkinson’s disease, and wife/manager Sharon Osbourne addressed the recent tour date news on the latest episode of CBS’ The Talk.
“We spoke to the doctor who Ozzy is going to see in Switzerland. And he looked at Ozzy’s itinerary, and he said, ‘You know you’re going to be here a while.’ And we’re like, ‘Yeah, two weeks, that’s fine,'” said Sharon in the clip below. “And he’s like, no, maybe up to eight. And so, I’m like okay, cancel that. The treatment that he has builds up and builds up, he can’t just do it and leave. So we have to stay there a while.”
As for fan reactions to the news, Sharon said, “I went online and I thought, oh lord, he’s going to get so much flack for doing this again and again, and again. And those fans are behind him.”
Osbourne has been battling a number of health issues for over a year, but Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis during an interview with Good Morning America in January. Ozzy would later detail in an interview with The Los Angeles Times that he was actually first diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 2003.
