John Cena began a donation drive last month for FitOps, a non-profit organization that provides training and job placement for veterans interested in a fitness career after they leave the armed services. He promised he would match donations up to $1 million, and now he’s putting his money where his mouth is.

Cena took to Twitter to share the news with fans that their donations reached the $1 million mark and that he was “honored and humbled” to match their contributions to FitOps.

“This Veterans Day, we give $2 million to veterans to help save their life to preserve to lives of our heroes who have protected our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” said Cena in the video below. “These words are extremely appropriate today, and they come straight from here [points to heart.] Thank you, and happy Veterans Day.”
