Bruce Springsteen Surprises Fans at 'Western Stars' Screening

Bruce Springsteen showed up at an early screening of his new performance film Western Stars in his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey to introduce the film to surprised filmgoers.

Video of the moment was shared by Springsteen's Instagram where The Boss addressed the theater with, "I just came out tonight to say welcome to 'Western Stars.' I hope you enjoy our film. I got started on this film, because I knew we weren't going to tour, so I wanted to find a way to evocatively bring this music to my fans. I hope you enjoy it. If I had any suggestions, I'd say save your applause 'til the end of the film, because the pacing and ending was set up to be that way."

Western Stars opens nationwide on October 25. One more advanced screening is taking place on October 23 via Fathom Events.
