Tom Petty Storage Unit Robbed, Burglar Arrested
A man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a storage unit that belonged to the late Tom Petty and stealing nearly $100,000-worth of guitars, guns and hard drives with unreleased music.
Per TMZ, the break-in took place last month, with the storage unit located in the San Fernando Valley. It is unknown whether the burglary was specifically targeted or just random.
Local police say the suspect confessed to the crime, and the stolen hard drives and guns were recovered. The instruments, however, were not recovered, but law enforcement do have some leads.
