Tomorrow night, I Love Lucy is coming to theaters for a special one-night only event to honor Lucille Ball on her birthday. She would have been 108!
See the tribute to this incredible actress and comedian with 5 colorized episodes of I Love Lucy, plus a featurette called Redhead Tales, Colorizing I Love Lucy.
They’ll be showing two of my absolute favorites too! “Lucy Does a TV Commercial” (also known as “the Vitameatavegemin episode”, which is ranked #2 in TV Guide’s list of the best television episodes of all time) and “Job Switching” (or “the candy factory episode” with Lucy and Ethel in the chocolate factory)!
If you’re unable to get to the movies, or just a big fan – they’ll also have a DVD of these episodes and more, available on August 13th. The DVD features Redhead Tales, Colorizing I Love Lucy – plus 16 full-length colorized episodes the show.
