The new app adaptation of the “David Bowie is” art exhibit just announced a new feature many fans will love.
Actor Gary Oldman, a close friend to the late Bowie, will be featured on the app as a narrator for the virtual exhibit. In a statement, Oldman said, “This brings the amazing ‘David Bowie is’ exhibition to a wider audience. It’s great that his fans get to experience it. It was a privilege to be involved.”
According to the official website, the “augmented reality” app will feature “over five hundred high resolution captures of Bowie’s costumes, sketches, notes, handwritten lyrics, music videos and original works of art are presented in striking arrangements and immersive settings, with 60 new items added to the original touring exhibition.”
The app will be available on iOS and Android devices for $7.99. Full app details are available at DavidBowieIsReal.com.
