Dove Statues Unveiled in Honor of Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary
Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, and Sullivan County, N.Y. is going all out in honor of its golden anniversary.
Per The Times Herald-Record, 36 fiberglass doves will be delivered to different Sullivan County communities that will create a “dove trail” the iconic music festival. Right now, the five feet by seven feet doves are white, but local artists will be chosen and will paint each dove creating a unique art installation.
So far, this is the only confirmed celebration of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, however, a 50th anniversary festival is reportedly in the works.
