Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac Settle Lawsuit
Lindsey Buckingham’s lawsuit against Fleetwood Mac regarding his firing from the band has been quietly settled out of court.
Buckingham revealed the news during an interview on CBS’ This Morning where he said, “We’ve all signed off on something. I’m happy enough with it. I’m not out there trying to twist the knife at all. I’m trying to look at this with some level of compassion, some level of wisdom.”

Buckingham has alleged his firing came as the result of Stevie Nicks giving the band a “him or me” ultimatum following Fleetwood Mac being honored at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala in January where she was not pleased with some of Buckingham’s behavior. There was also an issue within the band regarding the start of Fleetwood Mac’s current tour. The band wanted to start in August, while Buckingham wanted to start in November to give him time to promote and tour in support of a solo album.
Buckingham would also say to CBS’ This Morning that the only band member he’s heard from since the firing was Christine McVie, who wrote him an email saying she had nothing to do with his firing and that she believed “deep in Stevie’s heart that she would like you to come home.”
The best part about this whole interview? Despite ALL of this drama, Buckingham would still be open to rejoining the band again. OF COURSE, HE WOULD CONSIDER REJOINING THE BAND! Would we expect anything less from Fleetwood Mac infighting?!
Honestly, Fleetwood Mac, never change. Music news would be so boring without you.
