As Bohemian Rhapsody is about to open in theaters, news of another major music biopic is making headlines.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, a movie about the relationship of John Lennon and Yoko Ono is in the works with Universal Pictures in talks with Michael De Luca Productions and Immersive Pictures for the rights of the currently untitled film.
Only a few names are attached to the film so far, but they include director Jean-Marc Vallee (Dallas Buyers Club, HBO’s Big Little Lies) and Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything, Darkest Hour), who has written the spec script.
Ono will be involved in the film in a producer role.
