Watch: Unveiling Of David Bowie Statue In Aylesbury
The town that first got a glimpse of Ziggy Stardust now is home to the first David Bowie Statue ever.
After 2 years of crowdfunding for the statue, the bronze sculpture called “Earthly Messenger” now resides in Aylesbury in the market square. According to Variety VIA BBC, the statue has speakers above it, that plays a different David Bowie Song every hour.
The townspeople have also created a petition to change the town’s name to Aylesbowie – which would be pretty cool to be honest, though probably not totally practical.
