NEW YORK, NY - NOVEMBER 07: John Mulaney speaks onstage during the 11th Annual Stand Up for Heroes Event presented by The New York Comedy Festival and The Bob Woodruff Foundation at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on November 7, 2017 in New York City.

Almost every year in the lead up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, there’s some crazy drama afoot.  This might be part of the reason why comedian John Mulaney said it’s “the only truly fun award show.”

Mulaney was on last night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers where he explained that the Rock Hall induction is the award show he’d most like to host.

Why?  He said, “Think of it like a wedding if every speech was given by the bride’s ex-boyfriend.”

Sure, Mulaney is being a little hyperbolic, but there have been some VERY uncomfortable speeches in the past at the Rock Hall induction ceremony, so he kind of has a point.

He makes a couple of other funny, valid points, but we won’t spoil those for you.  Enjoy!

John Mulaney Lists What's Wrong with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Induction Ceremony

John Mulaney describes why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is like a wedding - if every speech was given by the bride's ex-boyfriend - and what it's like to see Frank Sinatra in concert.
