Friday 11/17
Philadelphia Marathon and Half Marathon “One of the most historic races in the country,” this three day event includes an 8k, Kids Run, Half Marathon, and Marathon. The Philadelphia Marathon covers flat terrain and runs through the heart of the city.
Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival (through November 19th) This is the last weekend to catch the two week festival which features 30 films from the world that highlights human diversity and commonality, tied together with Jewish tradition.
Grand Illumination Celebration at Peddler’s Village 6-9pm Come see a million twinkling lights light up the village with Kate Bilo, Santa Clause, and Mrs. Clause. Enjoy complimentary apple cider, roasted marshmallows, musical performances by local musicians and school choirs, plus free parking and admission.

Northeast Philly Food Truck Festival at The Roosevelt Mall. 12-7pm. FREE admission. In addition to food trucks, there will be plenty of games, prizes, and giveaways! Plus, a pumpkin chucking contest. Family/kid friendly!

The National Dog Show (11/18-11/19) This two day event hosted by The Kennel Club of Philadelphia showcases all dog breeds to help raise money for canine related causes. Tickets can be purchased anytime at the door during the show, or online. Tickets.
Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm. Drive through the farm in the comfort of your own car and experience more than 3 million lights including displays and characters you may recognize! S’mores kits and hot cocoa are available for purchase at the Farm Market. PLUS get your picture taken with Santa and pick out a Christmas tree in the Greenhouse.
The Art Star Holiday Craft Bazaar returns November 18th & 19th 11am-6pm at SugarHouse Casino with a line-up of 75 of the best art and craft vendors from the Philly region and beyond. Get your holiday shopping done all in one place – there will be something for everyone on your list! The show will feature a thoughtfully curated mix of handmade goods by returning Art Star favorites and many new vendors. Jewelry, pottery, housewares, clothing, men’s and women’s accessories, art, prints, blown glass, stationary, papercuts, t-shirts, baby gifts and more will be available.
Come hungry! Parked at the show entrance will be some of your favorite local food trucks – Poi Dog Snack Shop, Oink and Moo BBQ, Kung Fu Hoagies, Sum Pig, Sweet Box Cupcakes, and Pie Stand. There is a $3 door fee ($2 from 4pm-5pm, $1 the last hour) children under 12 get in free, and FREE PARKING is on site!
