Music News

1st April 1970: American rock group Creedence Clearwater Revival in London, April 1970. From Left to right, Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford, John Fogerty and Stu Cook.

Forty-five years ago today (October 16), Creedence Clearwater Revival broke up in what could be one of the worst band splits in music history.

Between the lawsuits and the terrible feud between John and Tom Fogerty that was never resolved, there’s certainly a case for it to be the most painful.

Vote in the poll below, which features some of music’s highest-profile splits.  Don’t see your choice listed?  Tell us your pick in the comments!
