4th annual National Dog Show Charity Walk
Another great day is in store for the 4th annual National Dog Show Charity Walk, set this year for Sunday, October 15, from 9 a.m – noon at Wilson Farm Park in Wayne.
In a major new development, the 95.7 BEN FM Morning Show team of Matt Cord and Kristen Herrmann will be the faces and voices of the event. Open to the public and benefitting seven important Delaware Valley charities, the walk features a variety of attractions for adults, children, and our furry friends.
Matt Cord is a well-known Philadelphia media personality from his work as Philadelphia 76ers public address announcer for the past 20 years to his presence as a Philadelphia radio personality for over a decade. Kristen Herrman previously served as 95.7 BEN FM’s midday host and her adopted pit-bull, Gloria – well-known to BEN FM listeners – will be the canine host at Wilson Farm Park that day.
Highlights from the 2016 event included wide-ranging newspaper, website, and TV coverage of 12 teenagers from the Gym Olympic Academy in Exton, who kicked off the event by walking on their hands with pet dogs leashed to their ankles.
Attendees also enjoyed attractions such as the sponsor village, agility demonstrations, drug and explosive detection canines from the Philadelphia Office of the Transportation Security Administration and games for owners and their pets with prizes provided by Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort of Malvern.
Stay tuned, because attractions for the 2017 event will be announced this summer. Feel free to make a donation to National Dog Show Charities and come back to find news about the National Dog Show Charity Walk and National Dog Show Month in Philadelphia.
