U2 News Round-Up: Hurricane Harvey Efforts, Performances From ‘The Tonight Show’
U2 guitarist The Edge is stepping up to help fellow musicians in Texas and Louisiana who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
U2 was on The Tonight Show last night and revealed The Edge’s Music Rising charity will be helping to replace instruments the musicians lost during the storm and subsequent flooding, much as the organization did for musicians in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.

The Edge co-founded Music Rising in 2005 with producer Bob Ezrin and Gibson Guitar CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. Donations for Hurricane Harvey relief are being accepted at MusicRising.com.
U2, meanwhile, has just released a new single, “You’re The Best Thing About Me,” which they performed on The Tonight Show along with The Joshua Tree’s “Bullet The Blue Sky,” and announced a December 1 release date for its next album, Songs From Experience.
The group continues its Joshua Tree Tour 2017 tonight (September 8) in Minneapolis.
