By the end of the first day, the group that was promised pizza increased their productivity by 6.7 percent. Those who were told they would receive a compliment by their boss increased by 6.6 percent. Workers who were told they would receive a bonus of $30 only increased by 4.9 percent. All of these numbers were compared to the control group. During the rest of the week, those who were promised cash had declined in numbers while those who were promised the other two steadied out in their percentage.

Shockingly, money isn’t the best motivator! Bosses reading this article, make sure to either give your employees compliments or free pizza. It’ll be worth your while!
