Gene Simmons Comments On That Whole Devil Horns Trademark Incident
KISS’ Gene Simmons is making no apologies for his attempt earlier this year to patent the “devil horns” hand gesture popular with hard rock and heavy metal artists and their fans.
The attempt went down in flames and was widely criticized by those in the music community before Simmons withdrew his trademark application with the U.S. Patent Office.
But Simmons tells the Windsor Star in Canada that, “I regret nothing. People said, ‘You can’t do that.’ Actually, bitch — I can. I can do anything I want to…Wake up every morning and let your conscience be your guide.”
Simmons also revealed that he owns “all kinds of things,” including the money bag logo and the phrase “motion pictures.”
“Anybody who thinks that’s silly — the silliest thing I’ve ever done is wear more makeup and higher heels than your mommy,” he said.
KISS has five more dates left on its current North American tour and is reportedly planning an 18-month farewell world tour (yes, another one) to begin during early 2018.
