Details On Sammy Hagar’s 70th Birthday Bash
Sammy Hagar plans to turn 70 in style this fall.
The Red Rocker reaches that age on October 13, and he’s announced four shows for his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas Mexico between October 9-14, promising special guests who “will be announced in the coming month,” as well as some who “will be a surprise, even for Sammy.” A lottery will be held for tickets, priced at an appropriate $70, for the shows starting at 1 p.m. EST on Wednesday (July 12).
In a statement Hagar says that, “It would be impossible to pick my favorite year, but I got a feeling it’s still to come.”
Hagar is touring this summer with is band The Circle and has also launched a new liquor, Mezquila, with “The Voice” star and Maroon5 frontman Adam Levine. Hagar has also been championing a Van Halen reunion featuring both he and David Lee Roth, but nothing has come of that yet.
