In a new report from Stuff in New Zealand, apparently Peter Jackson has Bilbo Baggins's house Bag End in the grounds of his mansion.
Talk about a man cave! One of Jackson's former employees Bino Smith helped him and others build the replica of the Hobbit's house, which is hidden behind a trick door of a wine bottle, a hide away tunnel, some skeletons, and then a lever on a book of a bookshelf.
Hollywood Reporter also shares that both Steven Speilberg and George Lucas have been there, and it's like their own playground of the makeshift Middle Earth. To be a fly on that wall in those conversations! I imagine them eating, playing cards, and maybe, playfully discussing which is a better trilogy, Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.
Smith also said it was crafted very detailed oriented, and is also liveable. So I guess that's a good thing on those days when Peter has a hard time leaving The Shire behind.
Amy Cooper is a writer and pop culture fact nerd, and on multiple occasions has been referred to as a “Walking iPod.”
