Woman of the Week celebrates and showcases area women doing extraordinary things in their communities, non-profit organizations, in business, the arts, music and more. Woman of the Week originated as a column Marilyn wrote for Philly.com, then evolved into an on-air radio feature airing weekly on 95.7 BEN-FM, and has now transcended into a full 30-minute Public Affairs Show airing each Sunday at 6:30am on 95.7 BEN-FM. Inc. was founded by Mary Remer, an internationally renowned Certified Personal Dog Trainer, breeder, and licensed American Kennel Club judge, who has trained more than 15,000 dogs in her 30-year career. Remer is a board member of the Philadelphia area Main Line Animal Rescue and was appointed as a member of the Pennsylvania Dog Law Advisory Board by Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell. They have a brand new $ 6 million-complex  opening in Frazer, PA this Spring that will feature a rehab facility, social boarding, grooming and pet day care.

Mary is also a Bull Terrier aficionado, and the President of the Bull Terrior Club of America, and has been awarded more than a dozen "Best of Breed" wins at the Westminster Kennel Club Show, as well as multiple ribbons in the competive terrior group.

Melinda Kremer from American Dance Wheels was on the show. 
American Dance Wheels brings wheelchair ballroom dancing to the disabled community.  Unlike other recreational programs for the disabled, wheelchair dancing itegrates disabled and able-bodied individuals in competitive venues as well as general recreation.  Wheelchair dancers can learn to dance socially or competitively in highly creative and professional settings along with their able-bodied partners.  Melinda is an extraordinary woman whose vision reaches across many boundaries including age, race, and physical ability.
