The old Sears store in Northeast Philly on the Blvd at Rising Sun Ave. It's now a shopping complex anchored by Walmart and Home Depot. The only thing they left was the Sears tower. |

The Empire rock club on Roosevelt blvd. Spent many a night there drinking and listening to some awesome bands!! I also remember my first concert at the old Spectrum, I was 16 & it was The Firm and I was overwhelmed by how many people were there. Prior to that my largest group outing was a pep rally and for some reason the spectrum just seemed huge to me then. What a cool concert though!!! Funny now the Wachovia seems so small compared to other venues. Going to see the Police tonight!!! Whoo Hoo!! |

When I was a child in the mid/late 60's (good God that was a long time ago), there was a small amusement park in Delaware County called Playtown. Loved it. I believe that location became a large store or strip mall. |

THE VET:I saw my 1st & last concert at THE VET.My girlfriend had taken me there for the BILLY JOEL & ELTON JOHN concert. I had seen video & heard about the "LIGHTER ENCOUR". But to be there & see it in person is something else. Now the money that they put together to build THE LINC & CITIZENS BANK PARK. They could've revamped THE VET.......As for THE SPECTRUM,basicly the same thing, the money they're putting together to build that new mall & whatnot....the could've revampe THE SPECTRUM........GENO'S.....The PIZZA HUT at RISING SUN PLAZA here in THE NORTHEAST,use to be one. And there use to be one out where I went to high school.Where HUNTING PARK,HENRY AVE., & ALLEGANY AVE. meet....And.....YO!......THE ROCKY STATUE,even though it's at the foot of "THE STEPS"......He should be at THE TOP.......If it wasn't for MR.STALLONE...who had put us at the map.......THE SHACK:Where KMART is on THE BLVD. . Where UNITED SKATES use to be on the same lot. Well I guess I'll get off my "SOAP BOX"......LOL........You guys are great listen all of the time.....keep it up |
