In order to name a dog, you need to watch his actions and habits. It usually takes a week before you've seen some of these things before you nail down a name. Never ever let anyone name your animal, because, like a child, it's a part of you. |

You don't want him to grow up with a complex. You need to give him a tough name. How about Bowser?

I think Fergruson is more appropriate than Vic. After all, Fergie gets on your last nerve just like your new puppy! GIven a chance, maybe they will both grow on you!!! |

Hi Dave! I met you yesterday with your adorable puppy, he's a cutie pie. Anyway I will try to have some printouts for you and your new puppy so things can go a little smoother for both of you. You have to realize he's away from his pack and its pretty scary being alone without someone or something to cuddle with.(like his sister). |

Although I like the idea of Wrigley, if you want a Chicago-ish name, what about Capone? Or Audio since you are in radio? Or Chance? A good name will come to you soon ;o) Good luck to both of you in your new life together! PS 2 words: puppy class!!! |

I agree, he is going to be a big guy! How about naming him D-O-G? (pronounced "Deeogee") If you don't want to be so generic, how about Dutch? Then you can call him Dutch-Puppy. It's kinda catchy. Good luck with training. Two words: Be Consistent! |

Did you ever notice that you never actually call your pet by the name you gave him? You always come up with some cute nickname, right? So consider how you're talking to the puppy now, and just call him whatever you've already been using, because that habit probably won't change! |

Puppies are great. I always found that if I put the puppy's crate next to my bed at night that he was much more comfortable and slept a lot better. How about "Cruiser" for a name?

I kinda like Vic or Victor. Not because of that loser football player, but because that is my brother's name! It makes a cool dog name. Also like Bubba, however I think animals should have people's names. Good luck from a true dog lover. |

Make sure that you put a blanket over his crate. It will make it more like a den for him. I like the name Bubba!! |

I keep thinking Ben might work but so far I'm lovin' Askem. Ryker comes in second. Taking time for puppy class will train both of you and you will be friends for life. |

He is very cute..I think you should call him Cruiser. Full name Cruiser Cruise. Beings he is a "chick magnet", he will be great for cruisin for chicks. Not to mention Cruiser Cruise sounds cool. Anyway, no matter what you call him he's still cute and I wish you the best. |

Consider how you're gonna sound when calling your new pup when you're outside. Whatever you decide has to feel right. Also, Marilyn, why did you think Dave could handle a puppy when he can't even keep a plant alive?!?

I would say Hendrix. Indie(y) and Harley are common names for dogs -- I know several. You are in the music industry and Hendrix fits better! Good Luck with him -- he is a cutie pie!!

Definitely go with Indy - what could be tougher than that, besides it WAS the dog's name! |
