MS Walk -Team BEN! - Wednesday, April 30, 2008

I've registered for Walk MS because one my good friends and co-workers here at 95.7 Ben-FM, Andrew Morris, was diagnosed with MS in 2001. Since that time, he has lost and regained vision in both eyes, experienced numbness in whole sections of his body, and has had to give himself countless injections of medication. He has been very fortunate that MS has only affected him to this extent. There are many people with MS who wind up unable to walk in a very short time, or experience symptoms and problems much worse than his. I want to do what I can to help raise awareness and funds to fight this disease.

Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. That's why I registered for the Walk MS Event and that's why I'm asking you to support my fund raising efforts by joining "Team Ben" or making a tax-deductible donation.

Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message.

Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of people with MS. I appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at the MS Walk on May 4th.

You are awesome for doing this! Bringing the publicity for such a good cause. My parent, my stepmother has been suffering with MS for 20 years and lost vision in her left eye and her left leg is always numb where she cannot walk far distances. She recently took a hard fall and knocked out her one tooth. Its terrible. If we can find a cure for our dear friends and family that would be a miracle! I just want to thank you for picking this cause to put your effort towards! My stepmom will be coming for the walk in her wheelchair. They have such determination and it blows my mind! Please keep in touch with me since we have something good in common. My E-mail address is LROSEB1202@gmail.com and my donation page is

And my company www.HotTopics411.com and custom link is sponsoring our team. Check it out, I'm going to donate to your team.

Thanks for listening!

TY ever so much for participating in such a worthwhile cause!

I got involved with MS early (in grade school). My neighbor's dad had advanced MS. He was in a wheelchair & his speech was so adversely affected I couldn't ever understand what he was saying. It really hit home for me!!! I started getting involved in MS Read-a-thons that our school sponsored. I've taken an active role in the walk for several years now. I started as both a participant & volunteer (Ridley Walk Committee), both in the early 90s.

I've had co-workers from various jobs thank me for my support. They confided in me that they had MS. That was all the thanks I needed then or will ever need to continue supporting this cause!!!

Best of luck & thanks again:)

Dave-

Thanks so much for doing this. I'm doing the MS Walk for the 1st time this year. My aunt and a good friend of mine both have MS. My friend is also doing the walk with me, and I'm trying to convince her to join Team Ben! At the very least, see you at the walk!

As a person that happens to have MS, I just want to say, "Thank You" for taking the time and effort to help raise awareness and funding. I am fortunate that I am able to participate without assistance in these walks, thanks in part to medication that has been developed through funds raised in programs like this.

I praise you for what u are doing. I am 25 and have MS. I take care of my 2 year old son at home and am disabled. I have to use a walker sometimes and have lots of numbness, weakness and eye problems. I have a lot of relapses as well. 3 since last june and thats not the half of them. My husband left me in 2006 for another woman because he could not deal with the disease nor wanted to take care of someone that was sick. There goes "in sickness and in health." But since then I have found a wonderful man who takes care of me and my son with all of his heart and loves us so much. The pain I suffer physically and emotionally is very straining on the relationship sometimes but we get through it. I thank you so much for what you are doing and I would not wish this disease on anyone. I hope your colleague in wellspirits and is ok. I understand about the injection therapy. I am going on a new drug, once a month IV. More convenient as I did not respond to the injections. But I thank u again from the bottom of my heart.

I am 34 years old and was recently diagnosed with MS in November 2007. I have a 13 month old and a 6 year old and I am going to fight MS with everything I have because I want to be here everyday to take care of my kids and be here for my husband. I am still scared of taking the shots every single day and not knowing how I will feel each day. But MS isn't going to take over me, I am going to take over MS. Thank you for all you are doing to help the MS Society and I will do what I can to help also. Thank you for everything. God Bless You.
