The Great Heel Race of '08 - Tuesday, April 29, 2008 60 Views :: 0 Comments :: Dave and I raced wearing high heels, in honor of the High Heels Fashion Show benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. It's at Neiman Marcus in King of Prussia Thursday evening. Lori Wilson from the "10!" show on NBC10 was here doing the play-by-play. Dave won, but the man cheats. He pushed me right at the start of the race. I call Dave, "The heel in heels". Give it a listen.

The beards are gone! - Thursday, April 24, 2008 67 Views :: 0 Comments :: I was shocked...shocked I tell you...to find that Dave shaved his beard during Game 7 Tuesday night. All of a sudden, I was alone in my hairiness. So, I decided to shave yesterday. The "playoff beards" became "The First Round Beards". Good luck to the Flyers tonight, as they start the second round against Montreal. We're clean-shaven, but we still want the Flyers to hurt the Habs. GO FLYERS!!!!

The playoff beard continues...for now - Tuesday, April 22, 2008 76 Views :: 0 Comments :: Still itching like crazy, but I'm hoping I don't have to shave after tonight. Game 7 in DC will be tough, especially after giving up ANOTHER 2 goal lead in Game 6. The sign I'm holding says it all...LET'S GO FLYERS!

This beard is SO itchy!!! - Monday, April 21, 2008 41 Views :: 0 Comments :: See what I put myself through for my favorite hockey team? You can't tell in this picture (thanks Marilyn!), but the beard is getting really heavy. Game 6 is tonight, and to me, it all hinges on Game 6. They HAVE to clinch it tonight because it will be tough to win a Game 7 in D.C. So, if they win, the beard continues and I stay itchy. If they lose, the razor may be dusted off soon.

The Colbert Report in Philadelphia - Thursday, April 17, 2008 64 Views :: 0 Comments :: Thanks to Comedy Central, I got to do one of the coolest things ever last night (4/16/08). As you know, the Colbert Report has been filming in Philly all week featuring famous Philadelphians. The kick off Monday featured Chris Matthews and John Legend, Tuesday was the Roots, and last night's show featured Eagles Cheerleaders along with Ed Rendell and Stephen's visit to the Constitution Center leading up to the Clinton/Obama debate - hilarious. Every evening, Ben Franklin himself has appeared on stage with Stephen as well, eating Doritoes and adding the Philly flavor. I was lucky enough to get a seat for the taping of last night's show, so if you here an extra loud - "whoo-hoo" you'll know it was mine!

The Playoff beards have begun - Thursday, April 17, 2008 43 Views :: 0 Comments :: No shaving for Dave and me as long as the Flyers are in the playoffs. It's been a couple days, and the beard is starting to come in. LET'S GO FLYERS!!!!

As the Flyers go further, we get hairier!! - Wednesday, April 16, 2008 57 Views :: 0 Comments :: Dave and I have vowed not to shave as long as the Flyers are alive in the playoffs, and judging by the past two games, we may be joining ZZ Top by the time they win the Stanely Cup. Keep checking back for pictures of how ridiculous I look with a beard, and how Dave will still look clean shaven after a week.

Kevin Bacon Takes Second to John Oates' mustache? I don't think So - Wednesday, April 16, 2008 1 Views :: 0 Comments :: On the Ben FM Morning Show Great Debate of '08, our mission was to present our favorite celebrity from Philly, otherwise known as a Philabrity. We also had to choose the greatest Philadelphia Sports Moment which was clearly the 1980 World Series...(my choice) and not (Dave's choice) the Phanatic knocking over the Weenie Cart at his first Phillies game. First let's talk Philabrity - Even though Will Smith was on my list, I chose Kevin Bacon for the following reasons: He's a Triple Threat - Actor, Dancer (who didn't do the footloose dance in the 80's?) and a Musician. Kevin, who's won a Golden Globe and SAG award has acted in more than 55 movies, including classics like Diner, Footloose, Apollo 13 with Tom Hanks, A Few Good Men with JACK, and JFK! He's got an amazing (and hot) wife, Kyra Sedgewick and... Not afraid to poke a little fun at himself via the Will and Grace episode were Jack is stalking him, but Will gets to do the Footloose dance with Kevin...classic episode. Top that John Oate's mustache!
