Marilyn Russell
Morning Show
Co-host
 |
A Philadelphia native and veteran radio personality, Marilyn brings BEN-FM listeners what they want……a female’s perspective!
Highlights from Marilyn's impressive resume include stops at Greater Media Philadelphia’s Classic Rock station 102.9 WMGK, following a long stint at the late alternative rock station in Philadelphia, Y100. As a member of the old Y100 Morning Show with Preston, Marilyn and Steve, Marilyn acted as co-host, reported national and local news and contributed life-style stories (now hear Preston & Steve at Greater Media Philadelphia’s 93.3 WMMR).
With 15 years of broadcast experience, Marilyn has been lucky enough to form some incredible relationships with other female members of the media, public relations, music business, and art community as well as professional business women from all walks of life. Marilyn currently profiles, highlights and celebrates area women from the Delaware Valley in her “Women of the Week” column in Philly.com’s “Philly Women’s” section, and has also just turned her online column into a BEN-FM Morning Show feature. As a BEN-FM Morning Show co-host, Marilyn delivers the daily “BENtertainment” feature as well as local and national stories of interest.
Marilyn Russell is married to a great (and slightly younger) man, is a mother to one awesome teenage son, and has a very cool dog named Leila. Her interests include travel, dining out, movies, shopping and an occasional glass of fine wine. Marilyn supports many area charities and her favorite Philly Food is…soft pretzels! |
