Scratch Dave Grohl from the 59th Annual Grammy Awards -- and know that the Foo Fighters leader was never there in the first place.
After announcing that Grohl would be part of a collaboration with hip-hop acts A Tribe Called Quest and Anderson.Paak, the Recording Academy issued an apology on Thursday (February 2), explaining that Grohl "will not be a part of this performance. Unfortunately the announcement was made prematurely. On behalf of The Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Productions, we sincerely apologize to all parties involved for our error."
Grohl may be out of the Grammys, but he's not out of sight; Eagles Of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes briefly posted an Instagram photo of he, Grohl and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme in the studio before deleting it. Homme is working on a new QOTSA album that's expected out this year, and Grohl has collaborated with that band before, so go ahead and start speculating...
